Ambassador Sanja Štiglic elected Vice President of UNICEF Executive Board Bureau for 2010

 

New York, 12 Jaunary 2010 - Ambassador Sanja Štiglic was elected Vice President of UNICEF Executive Board Bureau on 12 January 2010 during its First regular session. The Executive Board is the governing body of UNICEF, providing intergovernmental support and oversight to the organization. UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Affairs Dr Anja Kopač Mrak addressed the first regular session of the UNICEF Executive Board on 12 January 2010.
