Ambassador Sanja Ĺ tiglic chaired the afternoon session of 2010 Joint Meeting of the Executive Boards of UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and WFP on 18 January 2010
New York, 18 January 2010 - Ambassador Sanja Ĺ tiglic, in her capacity as a Vice-President of the UNICEF Executive Board Bureau, chaired the afternoon session of 2010 Joint Meeting of the Executive Boards of UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and WFP on 18 January 2010. The session and the participating panelists focused on "Stocktaking on the Millennium Development Goals"; special attention was given to the success stories and challenges in implementing Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Rwanda.
The session represented a good starting point for discussions on this theme in the course of the coming year, and should contribute to building up the momentum towards the High Level Plenary Meeting on MDGs in September 2010.
